why -locale ? All packages in the distro use %lang_package which in turn creates a -lang package.

I don't see a reason to deviate from that naming convention here (as there is no main package, the lib%{name}13 mus provide %{name} to make the generated -lang package installable

Thanks for a review. Did not know about %lang_package. Will post an another submit request.

as there is no main package

I believe this is misunderstanding. There is a /usr/bin/fswatch installed byfswatch package. The installation of built packages worked well.

sudo rpm -ivh rpms/fswatch-lang-1.17.1-0.noarch.rpm rpms/fswatch-1.17.1-0.x86_64.rpm rpms/libfswatch13-1.17.1-0.x86_64.rpm

ah - indeed; that was a mis-understanging; and I thought you'd avoided the %lang_package macro as it creates a dep on %{name} = %{version}; sorry for that

Marcus Rueckert's avatar

why locale package and not just use %lang_pack?

Michal Vyskocil's avatar

Thanks for a comment - udes %lang_package + %find_lang macros.
