Overview
causes issues when building util-linux:
[ 39s] autoreconf: configure.ac: not using Intltool [ 39s] autoreconf: running: gtkdocize --copy [ 39s] Can't exec "gtkdocize": No such file or directory at /usr/share/autoconf/Autom4te/FileUtils.pm line 293. [ 39s] autoreconf: error: gtkdocize failed with exit status: 2 [ 39s] error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.2C9TeI (%build)
gtkdocize in Ring0 is a clear no-go
Needs work for ring0 - e.g. util-linux must not try to run gtkdocize
Breaks lots of builds in staging
Yeah the plan was to wait for 2.72 or so, but autosubmit jumped the gun.

That is the minimal required version of autoconf for updating fakeroot to version 1.28.
that won't help if half of staging is broken
most likely you just shouldn't use autoconf in the fakeroot package
the 1.28 orig.tar contains a perfectly working configure
The build said that autoconf would be required. Therefore, I have added it.
Maybe using a git snapshot shows better luck? There's no knowing when 2.72 will hit the scene.
With the packages I've seen breaking, autoconf is not the problem - but the packages ignoring "this is deprecated" for a decade or two :)
Just to say: :M is not a ring0 staging
Any statement like 'ring 0 is fine' is nice, but not sufficient imho
I'm aware. But I was sure it will fail - and only needed the list of packages to look at.
Hence the "Let me see what's missing"
Waiting for at least openldap2 and openjade
The upcoming parted 3.5 release is also planned to require autoconf 2.71.
Unignored: returned to active backlog.
