Overview
It would be nicer to add why LTO is disabled here - symbol versioning. Then it can be re-enabled in later versions without needing to look into bug reports.
I'm tagging the bugs linked in https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1133084. So once symver is fixed I'll enable that in all packages that have the tag.
That's good. But I mean, the purpose of changelog is to indicate mostly why something was changed, not what. For what, I just need a diff
. So, "Disable LTO - symbol versioning unsupported by gcc (boo#1133096)." or "Disable LTO to fix build failure (boo#XYZ)" are much more helpful.
Yep, I fully agree with you. On the other hand, I did it in batch, so my script just mentioned a bugzilla issue shortly ;)
