I removed the custom Requires: git-core , as a generic one is being added in https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/689875 , and the version constraint isnt a serious concern given git 1.5.4 is ancient and unlikely to be a problem, or : anyone using git 1.5.4 has bigger problems.
