Why do we need all the
%rhel
things, given Base:System does not even have RHEL enabled? One simple reason: to save work! The SPEC file comes from upstream. Next time, I may be able to just take the diffs from this SPEC file and apply it to the new SPEC file and (with a few modifications), be done with it. It builds for us, so it's OK for me. I do not also scan all sources to see if they are written such that they build on all sorts of OSes and hardware and obscure configuration options and remove sections which we do not use.
