Thanks for adding a SONAME (is that upstreamed?) but libjim.so.* belongs into a shlib package since it's in %_libdir, check https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Shared_library_packaging_policy. Stupid question, but doesn't "embeddable" imply static linking? Not that I particularly miss a static archive here but it looks odd to me.
