Meson isn't generating .pyc files relaiably? Should we report that?
well, they are 'reliable' - but it does so in the build directory (not target directory) and they may contain the full path. That keeps on changing between builds (/home/abuild/rpmbuild/N-V-R/
I see. I remember following discussions on bytecode compilation in the past, but it was about pushing
compileall
to the Python standard library.I've found this discussion upstream too, but I get the feeling it isn't of much interest for us -- who are doing our own thing to handle
.pyc
files, like other distros.Thanks for the insight.
