@schubi2 This update brings an unintentional? change. When running the openQA tests in staging, the test booting from disk & and login into microOS is faling because it shows the grub in text mode instead of graphic mode https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/3556348#step/disk_boot/3
This is because plymouth is missing, I'm guessing this was provided by the bootloader pattern?
@lnussel maybe you have some comments?
For one yast should select the bootloader pattern but then plymouth is probably wrong there anyway and should be added to a different pattern.
plymouth is not listed in the bootloader pattern though. it's recommended by enhanced_base
it's not about plymouth anyway. it's grub branding. so back to yast needs to select the pattern
Hm, I have tried it but:
YaST can only select packages for installation in bootloader module
This package installation is a hard requirement. But I can imaging that YaST would like to install systems without any branding too.
I think, that it should be solved via packages dependencies. Normally it should work, but somehow the supplements do not work: I am asking the libzypp team: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1215254
It will be installed due the base MicroOS pattern now: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1110819
Hm, to be honest, I do not really know when the package is available in order to go on here.....
I'm copying that package directly here to test. If it works then it still has to get accepted and submitted to Factory.
it worked! I'm removing the test package and see if we can get SR#1110819 accepted fast.
