- Use gcc12 for openSUSE:Factory as workaround for boo#1207469.

We would like to reach gcc13 to Factory soon and this package is one
of the last blockers as we're still waiting for an upstream fix.

I like this more than forcing some abseil update into the package

gcc 13 is not released yet, there's no emergency

Martin Liška's avatar

It's not released yet, but we would like to submit it to Factory next week. The reason is we would like to have gcc13 as a system compiler in ALP. So please approve this SR.

What has libqt5-qtwebengine to do with ALP? gcc13 doesn't need to be system compiler in TW to allow ALP to switch...

What has libqt5-qtwebengine to do with ALP?

Well, it will block gcc13 package submission to Factory. Well, if I remember correctly, ALP project has been syncing packages from Factory, so that we want to reach Factory soon with gcc13.

Fabian Vogt's avatar

Not really, gcc13 is already in Tumbleweed. libqt5-qtwebengine will only use gcc13 if the system compiler is switched to gcc13.

Martin Liška's avatar

Yeah, sure, so we would like to reach the default compiler switch in gcc package for Factory.
