not too sure if this is a bug with kmail or kmailtransport.

I am unable to send an email from kmail. user credentials are all correct and stored in kwalletmanager.

I seem to be seeing:

  1. connection canceled or dropped by the remote server.
  2. something about wrong credentials

I have even done a detect server function and only received PLAIN and XAUTH0 or something like that. I have tried both to no avail

Are you using gmail? You might experience https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421664.

But this is not the proper place to discuss this anyway.
