Involved Projects and Packages
libsoc is a C library to interface with common peripherals found in System
on Chips (SoC) through generic Linux Kernel interfaces.
LittleB provides a Bluetooth Low Energy API. It exposes the BLE GATT
API for C using BlueZ over SD-Bus.
lshw (Hardware Lister) is a small tool to provide detailed informaton on the hardware configuration of the machine. It can report exact memory configuration, firmware version, mainboard configuration, CPU version and speed, cache config uration, bus speed, etc. on DMI-capable x86 systems and on some PowerPC machines (PowerMac G4 is known to work).
Information can be output in plain text, XML or HTML.
For detailed information on lshw features and usage, please see the included documentation or go to the lshw Web page, http://www.ezix.org/software/lshw.html
Userspace tools for controlling and querying MMC/SD storage devices
libmraa is a C/C++ library with bindings to Java, Python and JavaScript to
interface with the IO on Galileo, Edison & other platforms, with a
structured and sane API where port names/numbering matches the board that
you are on. Use of libmraa does not tie you to specific hardware with board
detection done at runtime you can create portable code that will work
across the supported platforms.
The intent is to make it easier for developers and sensor manufacturers to
map their sensors & actuators on top of supported hardware and to allow
control of low level communication protocol by high level languages &
constructs.
The library provides some of the fastest implementations of key
operations available for the ARM v7-A and v8-A architectures,
particularly focusing on math, signal processing, image processing,
and physics functions.
oFono aims to provide an easy to use interface that can be used to create
rich telephony applications without requiring one to have a deep understanding
of the underlying technology and its limitations. To accomplish this, oFono
provides language-independent D-Bus API that is extremely easy to use without
generated bindings or other 'messy' steps typically required to use an IPC
based API.
Platform support library used by libCEC and binary add-ons for Kodi.
pihwm is a collection of lightweight drivers for the hardware peripherals
on the Raspberry Pi computer.
View Radeon GPU utilization, both for the total activity percent and individual
blocks.
Supported cards R600 and up, even Southern Islands should work fine. Works with
both the open drivers and AMD Catalyst.
The total GPU utilization is also valid for OpenCL loads; the other blocks are
only useful in GL loads.
TinyB provides an API for Bluetooth LE (Low Energy).
TinyB exposes the BLE GATT API for C++, Java and other languages,
using BlueZ over DBus.
The UPM repository provides software drivers for a wide variety of commonly
used sensors and actuators. These software drivers interact with the
underlying hardware platform (or microcontroller), as well as with the
attached sensors, through calls to MRAA APIs.
w_scan is a small command line utility used to perform frequency scans for
DVB and ATSC transmissions. It is capable of creating channels.conf files
(in different output formats !) as well as initial tuning data for scan.
It's based on the utility scan from linuxtv-dvb-apps, but meanwhile it was
heavily changed and has different features.
The 802.11 regulatory domain database is used by CRDA and provides allowed
frequency ranges for 802.11 wireless drivers.
This is a collection of various packages regarding SDR (Software Defined Radio) and HAM-radio (Amateur Radio).

Osmocom GNU Radio IQ Balancing support
Programs that controls Realtek RTL2832 based DVB dongle in raw mode, so
it can be used as a SDR receiver.
