The tests use the advices given in perlport/"Files and Filesystems". The author of a distribution can select which tests to execute. To use this module, simply copy the code from the synopsis in a test file named _t/portfs.t_ for example, and add it to your _MANIFEST_. You can delete the call to 'options()' to enable only most common tests. By default, not all tests are enabled because some are judged too cumbersome to be practical, especially since some of the most limited platforms (like MS-DOS) seem to be no longer supported. Here are the default options: * 'use_file_find' is _not_ enabled (check only the names as listed in _MANIFEST_) * 'test_amiga_length' is _not_ enabled * 'test_ansi_chars' is enabled * 'test_case' is enabled * 'test_dos_length' is _not_ enabled * 'test_mac_length' is _not_ enabled * 'test_one_dot' is enabled * 'test_space' is enabled * 'test_special_chars' is enabled * 'test_symlink' is enabled * 'test_vms_length' is enabled * 'test_windows_reserved' is enabled To change any option, please see 'options()'. %prep %setup -q -n %{cpan_name}-%{version} %build perl Makefile.PL INSTALLDIRS=vendor make %{?_smp_mflags} %check make test %install %perl_make_install %perl_process_packlist %perl_gen_filelist %files -f %{name}.files %defattr(-,root,root,755) %doc Changes README %license LICENSE %changelog
