File perl-Net-FTP-RetrHandle.spec of Package perl-Net-FTP-RetrHandle

An "Open Source License" is a # license that conforms to the Open Source Definition (Version 1.9) # published by the Open Source Initiative. # Please submit bugfixes or comments via http://bugs.opensuse.org/ # Name: perl-Net-FTP-RetrHandle Version: 0.2 Release: 0 %define cpan_name Net-FTP-RetrHandle Summary: Tied or IO::Handle-compatible interface to a file retrieved by FTP License: GPL-1.0+ or Artistic-1.0 Group: Development/Libraries/Perl Url: http://search.cpan.org/dist/Net-FTP-RetrHandle/ Source: http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/G/GI/GIFF/%{cpan_name}-%{version}.tar.gz BuildArch: noarch BuildRoot: %{_tmppath}/%{name}-%{version}-build BuildRequires: perl BuildRequires: perl-macros #BuildRequires: perl(Net::FTP::RetrHandle) %{perl_requires} %description Support for skipping the beginning of the file is implemented with the FTP 'REST' command, which starts a retrieval at any point in the file. Support for skipping the end of the file is implemented with the FTP 'ABOR' command, which stops the transfer. With these two commands and some careful tracking of the current file position, we're able to reliably emulate a 'seek/read' pair, and get only the parts of the file that are actually read. This was originally designed for use with Archive::Zip; it's reliable enough that the table of contents and individual files can be extracted from a remote ZIP archive without downloading the whole thing. See the EXAMPLES manpage below. An interface compatible with IO::Handle is provided, along with a 'tie'-based interface. Remember that an FTP server can only do one thing at a time, so make sure to 'close' your connection before asking the FTP server to do nything else. %prep %setup -q -n %{cpan_name}-%{version} find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 chmod 644 %build %{__perl} Makefile.PL INSTALLDIRS=vendor %{__make} %{?_smp_mflags} #%check # test deactivated until test uses it's own enviroment. # accessing ftp.cpan.org ist not possible from the OBS #%{__make} test %install %perl_make_install %perl_process_packlist %perl_gen_filelist %files -f %{name}.files %defattr(-,root,root,755) %doc findmissing NEWS TODO %changelog
