------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun Nov 9 15:28:49 CET 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - removed gunze driver (no hardware for testing available) - exclude s390(x) from building ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Sep 29 15:17:01 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - commit-3097bb3.diff * Autoscale also the MaxTapMove parameter. Make the tapping move radius 7.2 percent of the touchpad width by default. This corresponds to the old settings of 220/3040, but works for all touchpad sizes. (bnc #429760) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Thu Sep 11 01:58:24 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - xf86-input-synaptics 0.15.2 * Add sensible fdi default for bcm5974 * Optional: Set corner buttons to off by default * Do not use stale option list pointers * Don't crash when neither Path nor Device are given. * Don't lose button up event if timeout is cancelled in the same ReadInput cycle * Pre-probe the device (eventcomm only). * Improve edge autodetection and accel. * Claim that we are a XI_TOUCHPAD, not a mouse. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Sep 8 02:19:09 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - xf86-input-synaptics 0.15.1 * Add .fdi file from gentoo (also used by pld) * Fix "make distcheck" * Add 02-scandir-dev-input.patch from Debian * Add support for device properties. * Compile fixes. * Use config.h if available * Add support for Apple touchpads to the fdi file * Re-enable TapButtons and CornerButtons to work by default. * Fix two off-by-one errors in the property handling code * Add autodetection of right scroll wheel region with very large X coordinate * Fix build with non-property enabled servers. * Fix build if we don't enable BUILD_EVENTCOMM. * syndaemon: fix BSD-specific build issues (signal related) * Update man page to contain a paragraph about fdi files * Add a note on how to pass options to the driver using the fdi file * Add bcm5974 to fdi/11-x11-synaptics.fdi * Fix the "No such device" problem when reloading a driver * Disentangle two-finger tap and two-finger scrolling * Tighter default for MaxTapMove - obsoletes tap2click.diff,random-data.diff,xf86-input-synaptics.diff - adjusted wait.diff ------------------------------------------------------------------- Thu Aug 14 09:55:44 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - xf86-input-synaptics.diff * Fill up version info correctly. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Aug 13 08:11:27 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - updated to official 0.15.0 release * no real changes so far - removed non-working alternative synaptics driver 0.99.3 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Aug 11 11:20:59 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - updated synaptics driver to git commit a2e19e5 (2008-08-08, 0.15.0 prerelease) * Plug memory leak - free synaptics private data. * Fix typo - xf86shmget is now shmget. * Move synclient and syndaemon into a /tools/ directory. * Pull in libX11 through PKG_CHECK_MODULES for syndaemon. * Fix crash on kernels with extended keymap space * Use axis ranges reported by the hardware, if possible. * Add support for reporting multiple fingers as different buttons * Filter out .libs and .deps everywhere * Move synaptics.h into include/, create synapticsstr.h for private structs. * Shut up compiler warning, HandleClickWithFingers should be a void. - adjusted wait.diff - adjusted tap2click.diff; no longer apply it reversed ------------------------------------------------------------------- Thu Jul 24 14:53:23 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - tab2click.diff * make enable tap to click the default again (bnc #411744) by reverse applying this patch ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun Jul 20 19:04:50 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - updated synaptics driver to git commit c11ed75 (2008-07-14, 0.15.0 prerelease) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Jul 4 22:20:01 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - fixed build for xorg-server 1.5 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Jul 4 11:48:07 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - added alternative synaptics driver 0.99.3 by Paul Vojta * This is to announce version 0.99.3 of my (alternate) Synaptics touchpad driver. This driver differs from the standard one in that it has only one author (so far), and hence no copyright issues. Also, it uses an extension for configuration instead of shared memory. This version features an up-to-date man page, an up-to-date configuration utility (command line only, sorry), and support for the Linux INPUT driver (as provided with recent 2.6 kernels). * Not functional at the moment ("(EE) No Input driver matching `synapticsalt'), which seems to be related to the renaming from "synaptics" to "synapticsalt". Even when it isn't renamed it doesn't work for me. Tested on "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" (VID: 0x0002, DID: 0x0007): "(--) Synaptics touchpad not in use failing module startup (--) Reason for the above: 4, 53 couldn't enable device 3" ------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Jun 13 10:33:48 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - updated synaptics driver from 0.14.6 (2006-07-15) to git commit cd6a122 (2007-07-06) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed May 7 11:35:06 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - synaptics-0.14.6-poll-delay.patch * syndaemon is a program that monitors keyboard activity and disables the touchpad when the keyboard is being used. Syndaemon is commonly used on laptop computers. Monitored with PowerTOP (http://www.lesswatts.org/projects/powertop/), syndaemon causing 45 wakeups a second because of a hardcoded 20 ms timer. This behavior significantly reduce battery life. This patch introduces a commandline switch to modify the poll delay. Running e.g. "synadmon -m 500" uses a 500 ms timer instead of the hardcoded 20 ms one, makes syndaemon disappear from PowerTOP, while still doing a accurate job. (bnc #386709) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun Apr 6 16:46:36 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - added /usr/include/pixman-1 to include path to fix build ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun Sep 30 13:25:33 CEST 2007 - sndirsch@suse.de - synaptics-0.14.6.diff * fixed build against xorg-server 1.4 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon May 21 18:45:31 CEST 2007 - sndirsch@suse.de - wait.diff: * wait up to 2 seconds for the device to get ready (Bug #274723) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Feb 6 10:49:06 CET 2007 - sndirsch@suse.de - removed "-nostdlib/-lgcc" to fix loading of synaptics/gunze modules (Bug #242319) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Jan 9 22:25:29 CET 2007 - sndirsch@suse.de - fixed build for s390/s390x ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Dec 4 16:05:54 CET 2006 - sndirsch@suse.de - fixed gunze driver docs ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun Sep 3 22:38:05 CEST 2006 - sndirsch@suse.de - updated synaptics driver to release 0.14.6 * Some small fixes for xorg 7.0 builds. * Made the driver work with xorg 7.1. * Updated the compatibility list. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Jul 28 14:43:29 CEST 2006 - sndirsch@suse.de - use "-fno-strict-aliasing" ------------------------------------------------------------------- Thu Jul 27 11:32:41 CEST 2006 - sndirsch@suse.de - cleanup ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Jul 25 11:13:10 CEST 2006 - sndirsch@suse.de - fixed build for X.Org 7 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Jun 14 11:20:06 CEST 2006 - sndirsch@suse.de - fixed drivers's version ID (Bug #184523) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun Jun 4 23:07:56 CEST 2006 - sndirsch@suse.de - updated synaptics driver to release 0.14.4 * Added PREFIX support to the Makefile.
