Ngspice is a mixed-level/mixed-signal circuit simulator. Its code is based on three open source software packages: Spice3f5, Cider1b1 and Xspice.

remove --with-readline=yes from build option, this is not a viable option any more and must be avoided. It creates a circular dependency in libngspice against the ngspice binary, which makes it impossible to link against libngspice without providing this symbol.
