Should Provides: python3-importlib_resources not be removed?
Reason is, that in devel the package is called importlib-resources. But in Leap it is called importlib_resources.
The different is "-" and "_"
And so packages in devel can not build for Leap because of error ( example here python-virtualenv): unresolvable: have choice for python2-importlib_resources >= 1.0 needed by python2-virtualenv: python2-importlib-resources python2-importlib_resources, have choice for python3-importlib_resources >= 1.0 needed by python3-virtualenv: python3-importlib-resources python3-importlib_resources, have choice for python3-importlib_resources needed by python3-xonsh: python3-importlib-resources python3-importlib_resources
No.
This and importlib-metadata should be resolved by the appropriate
Prefer:
line in prjconf. If you simply remove the Provides and Obsoletes tag, you have an undetected duplicate of two packages providing the same.
importlib-resources is the correct PyPI name for the importlib_resources module. If you request https://pypi.org/project/importlib_resources/ you get a redirect to https://pypi.org/project/importlib-resources/ as per PEP8.
Probably need to remove the packages from d:l:p:backports:fixups @mcalabkova
Wy remove. Have not lookup, but think package in devel is newer.
I run the script, but as long as it is in Factory, it will be in d:l:p:backports.
So than please set prefer importlib-resources in projectconfiv from d:l:p
I think it provide should remove. You say the correct name is importlib-resources. This is in devel. And it should not provide "_". This wrong is in leap self. When prefer should it sert in projco fig, than all packager in all projects must do this. This is not a solution for a misspelled package name.
how about updating to the most recent version, which is 5.2.2?
How about submitting a request with the update, please? Anybody can do it.
