The reason why libkface got disabled by default again is just that according to the kphotoalbum developers, "libkface doesn't do the job really good" currently. But we also have it enabled in digikam, so I decided to keep it enabled.
The release announcement even says: "
So either, it's up to you to decide if you want it or not (if you use a distribution like Gentoo), or it's up to your distributor."

I'll gladly change this though and remove "-DENABLE_PLAYGROUND=1" if desired.

- Update to version 4.3
  New features concentrate on video support improvements and background
  tasks. Also the database backend has been dropped completely leaving
  the XML backend as the only option. Automatic stacking of images 
  based on file version detection has been brought to the maintenance
  menu giving control to the user instead of only performing the 
  action upon starting of KPhotoAlbum.

Patches are (except for fix_open_raw_desktop.diff) from Fedora to make it build for KDE 4.10. If there is better way to detect the KDE version please
